    The parties involved in the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) case regarding the proposed subdivision by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited (Case Number OLT-23000534) have agreed to extend Tribunal-led mediation through April. As a result, a new hearing date has not been scheduled.

  • Town Perth Expresses Disappointment Over Decision to Close Perth Campus

    The Town of Perth is deeply disappointed by the Algonquin College Board of Governors’ decision to proceed with the closure of the Perth Campus, as approved at their February 24 meeting. Despite efforts to advocate for the continued operation of the campus, including a formal letter submitted by the Town, the Board moved forward with the closure without meaningful discussion of its significance to the community.

    The Town of Perth has completed repairs on the watermain break on Wilson St. E. between Halton St. and Robinson St. Backfilling is currently underway, and the road closure will be lifted this evening.

    The Town of Perth continues to respond to a watermain break on Wilson St. E., between Halton St. and Robinson St. Crews have been working throughout the day to locate the source of the leak, and repairs will continue into tomorrow.

  • Temporary Parking Prohibition in BIA – Monday, February 17

    Due to significant snowfall, the Town of Perth is implementing a temporary parking prohibition within the Downtown Heritage Perth Business Improvement Area (BIA) on Monday, Feb. 17 to ensure public safety and facilitate snow removal.
