A collaboration of Lanark County community partners is inviting parents, guardians, and caregivers to a special community meeting aimed at providing support and resources in the wake of recent events. This meeting will take place on Monday, December 2, at 7 p.m. at the Perth Legion, 26 Beckwith St. E, Perth, with an option to attend virtually via Zoom.
Whereas years of research confirms the benefits of high-quality early learning and child care for young children's intellectual, emotional, social and physical development and later life outcomes; and
Whereas: October 1st is Canada’s National Seniors’ Day and the UN International Day of Older Persons. It is a day to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of seniors. Seniors are a significant and diverse demographic, one in four Canadians.
A Case Management Conference (CMC) regarding the appeal submitted by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited (Case Number OLT-23-000534) was held on Friday, Sept. 13. Representatives for the Town of Perth, Lanark County, and CAIVAN attended the virtual session.
WHEREAS, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Lanark County is an important community organization committed to helping children and youth reach their full potential by matching them with caring, volunteer mentors;
WHEREAS: Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting approximately 1 in 400 to 1 in 1,000 people. Today, approximately 66,000 Canadians and millions of people worldwide live with PKD; and
WHEREAS the mission of Lifesaving Society Canada is to prevent drowning throughout this great country, and even one drowning in Ontario is one too many; and
The Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) has granted the request to adjourn the merit hearing originally scheduled to begin on Aug. 19, 2024. The adjournment was agreed to by all parties to allow the developer time to obtain the information necessary to evaluate the proposal.
The second Case Management Conference (CMC) about the appeal submitted by Perthmore Enterprises Inc. (Case Number OLT-24000210) was held on Wednesday, June 19. Representatives for the Town of Perth, Lanark County, and Perthmore Enterprises, as well as several interested parties, joined the virtual session.
