Notice of Transportation Master Plan Study Commencement and Public Consultation Centre No. 1
INTRODUCTION
The Town of Perth has initiated a Study for a Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to prioritize the implementation of transportation related infrastructure projects within the next 20 years.
STUDY PROCESS
The TMP is being conducted as a Master Plan project, using Approach No. 1, under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, as amended in 2024. The Study will follow Phases 1 and 2 of the Class EA Process by establishing the need and justification for transportation projects, policies and programs, considering all reasonable alternatives with acceptable effects on the natural, social and cultural environments. The public will be proactively involved in the study.
PUBLIC CONSULTATION
The first Public Consultation Centre (PCC No. 1) for this project will be held in conjunction with the Festival of the Maples. At the Festival, the public can engage with the study team at the study booth and provide input on key transportation issues, as well as potential projects, policies, and programs. PCC No. 1 is scheduled as follows:
- Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
- Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Location: Booth #G92, located on Gore St. E. near Mill St. (in front of Aprikose)
There is an opportunity at any time during the Class EA process for interested persons to provide comments. All information will be collected in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (2009). With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record. Notices and updates will be posted on Engage.Perth.ca/TMP.
