Mayor's Declaration - National AccessAbility Week- May 31 to June 6, 2026

WHEREAS National AccessAbility Week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions, leadership and achievements of Canadians with disabilities.

This week encourages communities across Canada to reflect on the importance of accessibility and inclusion, while recognizing the ongoing need to remove physical, attitudinal and systemic barriers.

Creating accessible and inclusive communities helps ensure that people of all abilities can fully participate in every aspect of community life.

National AccessAbility Week also provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and communities to come together in support of a more accessible and inclusive Ontario and Canada.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Judy Brown, Mayor of the Town of Perth, do hereby proclaim May 31 to June 6, 2026, as “National AccessAbility Week” in the Town of Perth.
