Once Upon A Christmas (November 25, 2023) | ||||||
This is a Downtown Heritage Perth BIA event. RSVP to the Facebook event to stay up-to-date on details! There is something about the charm of Downtown Perth that brings visitors from all over. During the holiday season, when the air is crisp and the snow starts to fall, Downtown Perth comes alive with a special small town holiday magic. Mark your calendars for November 25.

The Children's Only Gift Shop (November 25, 2023) | ||||||
10:30-12:30 at Perth & District Union Library: Children can pick a free gift for the adults in their life. This experience is for children up to age 12. Children under the age of 5 should be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will be available to assist children with shopping and gift wrapping. |

Meet & Greet with Santa & Mrs. Claus (November 25, 2023) | ||||||
Bring your family and friends down to the atrium in the Code's Mill building to see Santa & Mrs. Claus. Bring your own cameras to have your picture taken with Santa.

CPKC Holiday Train (November 27, 2023) | ||||||
The CPKC Holiday Train (formerly CP Holiday Train) is happy to be back for its 25th year supporting food banks and food shelves across our network by raising money, food and awareness for food insecurity issues. Volunteers with The Table Community Food Centre will be present to collect your monetary donations (as well as non-perishable food items). Anyway Gang is performing.

Multi-Day Events Spanning November and December
Shop Stamp & Win (November 1-December 31, 2023) |
This is a Downtown Heritage Perth BIA event, so you will find full details on their website. Pick up your SHOP, STAMP & WIN CARD at any downtown retail business or restaurant in Perth, when you make a minimum purchase of $10.00. As you shop from store to store, each business will stamp your card for every $10 spent. You will receive a maximum of 10 stamps per purchase. When your card is completed, hand it in to any downtown business and ask for your next card. **Please note, there is a maximum of 10 stamps per purchase. Prizes: In early January the BIA will draw names from the Shop, Stamp and Win cards. Prizes to be announced! |
Festival of Lights (The trees are lit from November 16, 2023) |
From November 16, 2023, the Festival of Lights will be ongoing through the holidays. There will be continuous viewing of the decorated Christmas trees from the outside of the Crystal Palace. The trees will be lit from 4:00p.m. until dawn. You can view the trees inside the Crystal Palace during events only. |
Home for the Holidays at Perth Museum (November 22-December 24, 2023) |
Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the holiday season as you explore the period rooms in the 1840s Matheson House. Drop in for a self guided tour and discover the traditions followed by the Matheson family and others living in the Georgian and Victorian eras.
Admission is by donation. Perth Museum is located at 11 Gore ST E and is from open Wednesday to Sunday from 10-5. On December 24, the Museum will close at 2:00 pm, then remain closed until the New Year.

Winter Maker's Market (December 2, 2023) |
Come support our local artisans and check out the Heritage Carpentry students’ work at the Algonquin College Perth Campus in the Student Commons Room. Free entry and free parking. Pottery, Baked goods, Wooden pens, Wreaths, Wood crafts, Hot sauce, Indian jewellery, Woven goods, Leather works, Dream catchers, and more! On-site knife sharpening available, so come prepared. Food and beverages available on-site from the Perth Soup Company. The Perth Santa Claus Parade begins at 5pm, after the market. |

For over two decades the Women & Men of the Tay Choirs have brought the joy of choral music to our communities. This year’s Christmas Concert features a plethora of favourites sure to delight every listener … from classical to commercial … a treat for all ages, and a chance to sing-along as well. "A holiday gift to our community"
A David Bird recitation of A Christmas Carol, directed by Jane Scott. Free Admission - with all donations going to The Table. Two performances only - 2:00 and 7:30 on Saturday December 16.
Studio Theatre Perth wants to give the town of Perth a Christmas present, as a heartfelt thank you for all the support everyone has given to this little theatre on the shores of the Tay Basin. You have stood by Studio Theatre through thick and thin, helped us survive the COVID shutdown back in 2020, and continued to attend our films, musical events and live theatre productions ever since.
David Bird will be reprising his role as Charles Dickens in his own unique presentation of the beloved classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. David will be in period costume and portray the many characters from the novella on stage. The stage will be a beautifully dressed set intended to take you back to the year that Mr. Dickens penned this masterpiece – December 19th, 1843. Come alone or with a friend or bring the whole family and be prepared to be swept away to the bygone days of London, England. Meet Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, the whole Cratchit family including Tiny Tim, and of course - three Ghosts. Come One. Come All. Get with the Spirits and plan to make this event a part of your

Perth Community Christmas Day Dinner (December 25, 2023) |
We are please to welcome you to the 40th Annual Perth Community Christmas Day Dinner! The Perth Christmas Dinner Association Committee will again offer a sit-down meal at 12 noon, but will provide better spacing of tables and serve a buffet style meal to improve safety for both diners and volunteers. Takeout meals and meals for delivery will also be available. The venue for this year is at the Lion's Hall at the Perth Fairgrounds, with support from the Perth Lions Club. Further details will be available on the website as Christmas Day approaches. We expect to open our registration for volunteers and deliveries / take-outs in early December. |
