Lanark County Female First Responders Camp

Lanark County Female First Responders Camp returns October 17 & 18, 2025

Held each October, the Lanark County Female First Responders Camp is a two-day, hands-on experience for self-identifying females aged 15 to 21 living in Lanark County. Participants learn real-life emergency skills, gain mentorship from local first responders, and explore careers in emergency services.

Led by professionals from Lanark County Fire Departments, Lanark County Paramedic Service, Smiths Falls Police, Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the camp includes training in personal protective equipment (PPE), CPR and first aid, emergency scene management, auto extrication, and search and rescue operations. In addition to hands-on training, the camp is a unique chance to explore careers in emergency services and build connections between passionate participants and experienced professionals.

It’s more than just a training event—it’s part of a movement to empower women interested in public safety and emergency services, and create a supportive community where future first responders can thrive.
