The municipality operates an urban road network consisting of approximately 98 lane-kilometers of roadway. There are approximately 40 kilometers of sidewalks throughout the municipality. The municipality provides:
to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians. The service is provided using municipal staff and heavy equipment with contracted equipment for snow removal activities. There is no overnight parking on any Town of Perth street from November 20th through to March 31st. This allows our snow plow operators to clear our streets throughout the evening hours so that they are clear for the next day. Only parking permit holders can park overnight in the municipal lot for which their permit was purchased. |
Street lights |
The municipality is responsible for the street light networks throughout the municipality in areas along urban streets, in the Business Improvement Area (BIA), in parking lots and in subdivisions. The size and type of light varies throughout the urban boundaries based on the light quality and landscaping features in each area.
