Located at 3 Sunset Boulevard, the Perth & District Indoor Pool offers a variety of programs, including swimming lessons, Aquafit and therapeutic classes, Public / Family / Lane swim times and a Masters Swim Club. The pool is the home of the Perth Stingrays Aquatic Club and Olympic athletes Mike Brown (2008) and Bailey Andison (2020).

Emergency First Aid - February 12, 2023 (8am-5pm) & Bronze Medallion - February 17 (4-8:30pm), 18 (9am-3pm), 19 (9am-6pm) (Step 1 of 4 to become a Lifeguard!) Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education - judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defense methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500m timed swim. Emergency First Aid certificate included. Minimum 13 years of age.
Bronze Cross - March 10 (4-8:30pm), 11 (9am-5pm) & 12 (9am-7pm) Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including the National Lifeguard certification. Includes a timed 600m swim. Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion & Emergency First Aid (need not be current).
Standard First Aid with CPR-C / AED Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Blended Standard First Aid: 8 hours online learning, 5.5-7.5 hours teaching time
National Lifeguard - Pool - May 5 (4-9pm), 6 (12-9pm), 7 (10am-7pm), May 26 (4-9pm), 27 (12-9pm), 28 (10-7pm) 2023 National Lifeguard certification is Canada's professional lifeguard standard. National Lifeguard training develops a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguard's role. National Lifeguard training emphasizes prevention and effective rescue response in emergencies including first aid treatment. Candidates develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Fitness requirements include a timed object recovery, 50 m sprint challenge, 50 m rescue drill and 400 m endurance challenge. Prerequisites: Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid & AED / CPR-C. |

Multi-Purpose Room |
Our Multi-Purpose Room is available to rent on an hourly basis on Saturdays for birthday parties and special events. Since we usually have a Free Public Swim on Saturdays from 1-3pm, the room is typically rented in 2 hr blocks: 11am-1pm, 1:30-3:30pm or 2-4pm. Rates for the Multi-Purpose Room Rental: Contributing ($28.00/hr.), Non-Contributing ($35.20/hr.). |
