Update – Duplicate Pre-Authorized Tax Withdrawals Resolved

The duplicate withdrawals affecting some residents enrolled in the Town of Perth’s pre-authorized tax payment plan were fully reversed as of Friday.
The correct single quarterly tax payment will be withdrawn on Tuesday, March 3. No penalties will be applied as a result of this issue.
Taxpayers who incurred bank or NSF fees related to the duplicate withdrawal are asked to contact treasury@perth.ca so that we may assist them directly.
Thank you for your patience as we worked with our banking partner to resolve the matter. An additional internal verification step has now been implemented within our payment processing workflow to prevent this from occurring again.
