Current Opportunities

The Corporation of Town of Perth is requesting proposals from qualified respondents to complete the contract for the 2027-2029 biennial inspections of urban bridges and structures in accordance with the Ontario Regulation (O.Reg) 104/97. 
 
The 2027 to 2029 project consists of the inspection and development of the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM). There are thirteen (13) structures located within the limits of the municipality and the inspections are comprised of (but not limited to) photographs, asset life cycle information and rehabilitation costs / schedules. It is expected that the quality of work will be professional and consistent with the level of engineering expertise required. 

Submissions, sealed in an envelope, with three (3) copies of the Technical Package and one (1) separate copy of the Financial Package included, clearly marked with the return address label (attached), will be received at the front counter at the Perth Town Hall 80 Gore Street East, Perth, ON, K7H 1H9 until 10 a.m. (local time) on April 2, 2026. Bids received after the closing time will not be considered. Tenders will be opened in public at the Environmental Services office immediately following closing.

Enquiries will be received until five (5) business days prior to the proposal due date. Copies of all questions and answers and any addenda will be sent to each Consultant no later than three (3) business days prior to the proposal due date. The Corporation of the Town of Perth  is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms and/or multidisciplinary teams to undertake the development of the Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP) for the Town.

The Town of Perth continues to grow and develop. It has undergone boundary restructuring and annexations over the last 15 years and has significant future plans for growth and repurposing within these boundaries. An updated IMP is required to undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the Town’s existing public infrastructure systems and to establish a framework for the planning, implementation, operation, and lifecycle management of future infrastructure assets. This IMP should generate a long-term direction for 
improvement, growth, and sustainability while supporting the town’s conservation and preservation efforts.

Tenders will be opened in public at Perth Town Hall immediately following closing.

The Corporation of the Town of Perth is requesting tenders from qualified contractors to undertake the rehabilitation of the Little Tay Bridge.

Sealed Tenders marked ‘Town of Perth – Little Tay Bridge Rehabilitation - Contract ES-2026-06” will be received at the office of the Director of Environmental Services located at 80 Gore Street East, Perth, Ontario up to 2:00 pm local time, April 15, 2026. Bids received after the closing time will not be considered. Tenders will be opened in public at the Environmental Services Office immediately following closing.

The Contractor shall provide all labour, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete the work as described in the Agreement, Addenda, Special Provisions, Contract Drawings, Information to Bidders, Supplemental Specifications, Standard Specifications, Tender Form, Supplemental General Conditions, and General Conditions.
The following is a brief description of the work required under this Contract:

  • Mobilize to site and Implement traffic control including temporary signage and barriers as required
  • Implement environmental protection, erosion and sediment control measures, and utility protection measures as required.
  • Install access and allow for Engineer’s inspection.
  • Carry out shallow mortar repointing.
  • Carry out deep mortar repointing.
  • Carry out stone resetting.
  • Remove environmental protection, erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Remove traffic control measures and demobilize from site
