Discover the Charm of Winter in Perth, Ontario
Picture this:

Spring is in Bloom in Perth!
Springtime brings beautiful flowers and nature greenspace to walk around and enjoy our lovely parks including Stewart Park, Code's Park, Last Duel Park, and Conlon Farm Recreation Area. Take a stroll along the Tay River Trail which is adjacent to the gorgeous Tay Canal, flowing through the heart of Perth. Spring is also a great time to enjoy some of our festivals and events:- The Festival of Maples brings all things maple to Perth.
- Vendors and entertainers happen every Saturday at the Perth Farmers' Market (opens on Mother's Day weekend).
- Perth is a friendly and welcoming town. 2SLGBTQIA+ visitors will feel at home here as our town hosts its own Pride Parade and Pride events.
- Love to cycle? Perth is a stop for many cyclists. The Perth Museum has a place to refill water bottles, a bike tire pump and repair kit, and route maps for Lanark County. Spring events include Perth Triathlon and Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour.

Summer Makes a Splash!
Perth is all about having fun in the summer sun! When the sun goes down, it's a time for celebrating with music festivals, fairs, and night markets among many other great happenings in Perth. Conlon Farm has a splash pad to beat the heat, as well as check out the Perth & District Indoor Pool for a quick cool down. Some of our summer events include:

Other summer activities?
- Walk along the Tay River Trail, which flows along the Tay Canal waterside. One part leads to the Perth Major Outfitters, where you can continue your adventure by renting a kayak or canoe for an hour or two, or the entire day. The Tay Canal is a gentle ride for a kayaker and a fun adventure for all ages and abilities.
- Conlon Farm Recreation Complex has BMX bike tracks, a splash pad, pickleball courts, a skateboard park, a full accessible playground, basketball courts, and a bike repair spot. There is a building with washrooms and a water bottle refill area. It is adjacent to Heritage Bikes, a bike rental spot in Perth.
You'll Love the Fall Colours
Did you know Ontario Parks tracks the fall colours each year? Check their website to see what percentage of leaves have changed colour and what percentage of the leaves have fallen to help plan your fall colours trip. We recommend using Murphy's Point as a guideline for Perth.
Seeking that perfect location to see and photograph the fall colours in Perth? Here are some recommendations:
- Stewart Park, Last Duel Park and the Tay Basin for large trees and waterways
- Code's Mill is often covered in red vines in the fall
- Beckwith Street Truss Bridge (watch for traffic!)
- The dry-stone bridge at Terrace on the Tay on Mill Street
- Perth is known for it's tree coverage along the streets, so the historic buildings and alleyways will make great photo backdrops
- Visit the courtyard and heritage garden at Perth Museum as they are gorgeous spots year-round
- The Tay River (see the leaves from the water by renting a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard from Perth Major Outfitters
- The lookout tower at Perth Wildlife Reserve
