Spend Canada Day 2022 in Perth

It’s our first year back post pandemic! Come join us for a great fireworks display and to celebrate Canada’s 155th year! Here is what we have planned for July 1, 2022 at Conlon Farm:

  • 5-7pm - BBQ with Perth Town Council at the Chalet
  • 8:15pm - Magic Show by Chris Pilsworth near the Chalet
  • After the magic show, free Canada Day cupcakes at the Chalet
  • 10pm sharp – the Fireworks!

In addition to the events, Conlon Farm has lots to offer:

  • The playground and splash pad will be open all day and night
  • Families are welcome to come and bring a picnic
  • Perth’s Town Crier will make an appearance
  • The Perth Volunteer Fire Fighters will gratefully accept donations at the gates to help offset the cost of fireworks
  • Bring a lawn chair for the fireworks, or a blanket for the hill

Many Thanks to Our Sponsors:

  • Perth Volunteer Fire Fighter's Association
  • The Department of Canadian Heritage
  • Barnabe's Your Independent Grocer

Truth and Reconciliation

Canada Day is an opportunity to show solidarity and to reflect on how to heal from the past mistakes. We would like to encourage everyone to take some time to understand more about truth and reconciliation with the Indigenous peoples of Canada and how we can strengthen the ties that unite us all. With real actions we can heal together and make a better future for everyone.

Next steps: read Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action, and visit Ardoch Algonquin First Nation, Shabot Obaadjiwan Algonquin First Nation, Algonquins of Ontario, and Lanark County Neighbours for Truth and Reconciliation websites.

Business Information: Make it a long weekend in Perth!

Many businesses are open and ready to serve you. Shop 'til you drop and enjoy a meal (or two!) on a patio, or even take it to go and enjoy a picnic. Grab a treat from a local eatery, such as ice cream, gelato, hand pies, baked goods, cold beverage, sit back and enjoy the scenery. Make it a long weekend and book a reservation, too.
