In the interest of safety, public nuisance and humaneness to animals, the Council of the Town of Perth passed the Animal Control By-law, which applies within the Town boundaries and affects:
Dogs
Cats
Kennels
Public nuisance issues including noise, bio-waste, and unleashed animals
Animals in vehicles
Exotic or wild animals

Note: fees are waived for dogs that are microchipped (By-law 3557, section 2.1.9) or are certified CNIB guide dogs (By-law 3557, section 2.1.11). Please provide documentation when applying and/or renewing tags. Animal licenses are available at the front counter at Town Hall (80 Gore Street East). Please be a responsible pet owner - have your pet spayed or neutered! |
