Throughout the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Town of Perth has been following the public health measures and guidance set by the Government of Ontario and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit. In keeping with this, as of Monday, March 21st mask requirements and passive screening will be lifted at all facilities including the Perth & District Indoor Pool, Perth & District Community Centre, Perth Museum, Perth Fire Hall, and Town Hall.
“As we cautiously move into this next phase of reopening, we ask all residents to continue to proceed with care,” states Mayor John Fenik. “By practicing things like routine handwashing, self-monitoring, and staying home when feeling unwell, we can collectively do our part to continue protecting our residents; especially our seniors and young children.”
Individuals and businesses may wish to continue to use masks, and we ask everyone to respect each individual’s comfort level as we transition into this next stage of reopening.
All residents are encouraged to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, limit contacts, and get vaccinated. More details, including information on vaccine bookings for all ages, are available through the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark Health Unit.
