What do you want Perth to look like in 25 years? What do you think are the main issues the Town needs to consider as we look to the future? Did you know that the Town has a 25-year plan that is re-evaluated every 5 years? It’s true. It’s called an Official Plan and it is a document that guides planning decisions, land uses and zoning By-laws.
The Town will be hosting monthly public meetings in 2021 to discuss topics such as economic development, growth management, local food, housing, public health & safety, and much more. The first virtual meeting will be on Monday, February 22nd at 4 pm. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the process and provide your thoughts on issues the Town should consider. If you cannot make that date, don’t worry, there will be other monthly meetings.
Visit our Official Plan 2021 webpage for more information about how to sign up for meetings, details on the first meeting, and more information about the entire process. Stay tuned to the Town’s social media sites for reminders of upcoming meetings and discussion topics.
Mayor John Fenik states, "This is a very important process for the future of Perth and I encourage everyone to participate in the 2021 Official Plan review meetings and help shape Perth for years to come!"
