The Town of Perth is pleased to announce the hiring of Golsa Kheir-Moghadam as the new Manager of Planning and Economic Development. Golsa comes to Perth with a range of valuable experience, most recently in urban planning and design with FOTENN Planning + Design. Having completed her Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in Tehran, Golsa relocated to Canada in 2010 and pursued further education in the fields of geography, planning, and environmental studies, and obtained a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Queen’s University.
A member of the Ontario Professional Planning Institute and Registered Professional Planner, Golsa also has garnered several years of experience working with municipalities, both as an intern with the Urban Design and Heritage team at the City of Richmond Hill and as the Intermediate Planner for the City of Kingston.
“Golsa brings a wealth of knowledge with her, with a breadth of experience in municipal planning from both the perspective of public and private sectors,” states Michael Touw, CAO. “Her ardor for planning and development and ability to see things from multiple perspectives will be an incredible asset in this newly formed role.”
Golsa will begin on October 3, 2023, working closely with Director of Development Services Joanna Bowes. We welcome Golsa to the Town of Perth and look forward to having her join our team as we continue to grow.
