Reminder for Winter Parking Restrictions

The Town of Perth would like to remind residents that on street parking is prohibited from November 20th to March 31st between the hours of 12:01 AM and 6:00 AM. Vehicles left on the street during these hours are subject to being ticketed and/or towed at their owner’s expense. These restrictions are to ensure proper snow removal can be done. In the first two months of the winter parking season, By-law Officers have issued 288 tickets to vehicles in contravention of this Bylaw. This is a considerable increase from previous years and as such, patrols will be increased for the remainder of the season to ensure that snow removal can be completed in a safe and effective manner.

Municipal parking lots continue to be free of charge until April 1st, 2021. Residents who need an alternate location to park during the winter restriction hours are encouraged to move their vehicles to one of the four (4) Municipal parking lots to avoid future violations.
