The Town of Perth is currently exploring the possibility of creating an off-leash dog park, following correspondence received from a portion of residents over the past several years. The topic has been previously discussed by Town Council in 2009 and 2014, and in recent months has been brought to the floor for further investigation for potential development. In light of renewed discussions, the Town is seeking input from the community.
A survey is being conducted to collect opinions on the topic and is available online from May 3-17 at Perth.ca/DogPark. Paper copies are available at Town Hall as well. An Open House will be hosted on Thursday, May 11 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall for residents to examine location reviews more in-depth, dog park considerations, speak to staff, and provide input. The results from both the survey and Open House will be presented to Town Council as additional information to assist them in their deliberations.
Staff and Council welcome and encourage all residents to provide their input. For more information and to complete the survey, visit Perth.ca/DogPark.
